Privacy policy

Plentry (“the App”) is developed and operated by Unclutter Apps (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how data is handled. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected when you use Pantry Planner.

  1. Information we collect

1.1 Personal Information

Plentry does not collect, request, or store any personal information such as:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Profile information

  • Location data

The App does not require user accounts or registration.

However, we use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to collect anonymous usage data to help improve the app.

1.2 User-Generated Content

The App allows users to create content such as:

  • Recipes

  • Grocery lists

All such content is stored locally on your device using a local database.
This data is not uploaded, not transmitted, and not accessible to us or any third parties.

1.3 App Usage and Device Data

Plentry collects information about how users interact with the app, namely:

  • When a user enters or exits the recipe creation screen

  • Time spent creating a recipe

  • When a user sees the shopping list page and interacts with the "Must buy" and "Check first" tabs

  • When a recipe is added to the shopping list

  • When an ingredient is added to a recipe

  • The number of recipes users have saved

The information above is collected in an anonymous and aggregated form. No personally identifiable information is ever recorded.

In addition, Firebase analytics collects certain information automatically, including, but not limited to:

  • Device type and model

  • Operating system version

  • App version currently installed

  • General geographic information (country of use)

  • General app usage data (for example, when the app is opened)

None of the information above is used to identify individual users.

Plentry does not collect:

  • Diagnostic or crash data

  • Advertising identifiers

1.4 How the collected information is used

The information collected is used by the developer purely for understanding how users interact with the app. This helps the developer:

  • Improve features and usability

  • Identify areas where users may experience friction

User data is not sold nor used for advertising purposes.

  1. Contacting the developer

If you choose to contact us directly via email at plentry.app@gmail.com, we will receive the information you voluntarily provide (such as your email address and message content).

This information:

  • Is used solely to respond to your inquiry

  • Is stored in the developer’s email inbox

  • Is not shared or used for marketing purposes

  1. Third-party services

3.1 Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics helps us understand how users engage with the App.

Firebase may process data in countries outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Google provides safeguards for international data transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

3.2 Standard libraries

The App uses standard local libraries and device storage solely to provide its functionality.

  1. Data sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade user data with third parties.
All data created within the App remains on the user’s device.

  1. Data storage and security

5.1 User generated content

Recipe and shopping list information is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain servers or databases containing user data.

Because data never leaves your device, it is not transmitted over the internet. You are responsible for securing your device and any backups you create.

5.2 Analytics

Analytics data is retained according to Firebase’s default data retention settings unless otherwise configured.

We only retain data as long as necessary to improve the App and comply with legal obligations.

  1. Data deletion

6.1 User generated content

Since all user generated data is stored locally:

  • Uninstalling the App will remove all app data from your device

  • We do not have the ability to delete or recover user data remotely

6.2 Analytics

Given that Plentry does not collect any personally identifiable information, we will likely be unable to retrieve and delete specific records associated to any individual user. Uninstalling the app will stop will stop any further data collection.

  1. Children's privacy

Plentry is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information by contacting us directly, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

  1. Your rights (UK and EU users)

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have rights under data protection laws, including the right to:

  • Request access to your data

  • Request deletion of your data

  • Object to certain types of processing

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, we may not be able to identify individual records. However, you may contact us for assistance.

  1. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on the app listing page. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
